Urgent Medical Help Information

We have a significant number of urgent appointments throughout the day for urgent medical problems only. These are booked by telephone. If your problem is medically urgent, then you will need to attend at the appointment time given.

Please dial 999 – these conditions need to be assessed in a Hospital Emergency Department, and not by a GP.

For injuries that are not life-threatening or severe please attend the Minor Injuries Unit, West Berks Community Hospital, Benham Hill, Thatcham RG18 3AS. You must call 111 to arrange this.

For all other Urgent Medical Health requirements, please consider if a local pharmacist could assist you instead of the practice, otherwise please contact one of the following:

  • NHS 111 online service or telephone the service by dialling, 111.
  • Accident and Emergency at either:
    • Royal Berkshire Hospital
    • Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital
    • Great Western Hospital
