Contact the practice via this form (preferred) or via telephone. All patients who request an appointment will receive a reply from a doctor, nurse or other member of the practice team who will decide which type of appointment is most appropriate and book you in where necessary. Please give as much information as you can about your condition so it can be directed to the appropriate person.
Please do not turn up at the reception desk – you will be asked to leave the building and telephone or submit an online form with your request. Currently, most requests submitted via this website are answered within 2 working days. The question will be answered via email, text or phone. If necessary, you will be booked in for a telephone consultation, video consultation or face to face appointment – depending which method your clinician deems the safest for your care.
Booking via apps is currently suspended.
To ensure that phone calls are answered as quickly as possible, please telephone after 11:00 for pre-bookable routine appointment requests and enquiries. We are currently booking in for cervical smears, flu vaccinations, asthma checks, diabetes checks, dressings, health checks for vulnerable groups and routine vaccinations.
If you require a specific doctor the receptionist will advise you of the next available appointment.
Each routine appointment is 10 minutes per patient.
‘On the Day’ Appointments
Currently we offer on the day telephone appointments. The doctor or nurse will be able to book you a face to face appointment following this telephone call or in reply to a request you submit through the Online Requests page on the website. They will decide how urgent your need is and they will arrange the appropriate appointment or treatment.
Patients now have access to a GP appointment during weekday evenings and weekends. To make an appointment please call reception on 01635 917917.
If you need to speak to a GP but you don’t feel you need to attend the surgery, the receptionist will suggest you ask your question via the Online Requests page on the website. The GP will generally respond to you within 2 working days.
Alternatively the receptionist can arrange a routine call back with the GP, this may take 3-4 working days. Please ensure you give the receptionist as much information regarding the call back as possible.
Routine nurse appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery. When you telephone to book an appointment you will be asked the nature of the appointment to ensure we direct you to the most appropriate clinician. If you are unsure whether you need to see a doctor or nurse please ask reception for assistance.
